Jennifer Rose is a poet and writer. The author of two
award-winning poetry collections, The Old
Direction of Heaven and Hometown for
an Hour, she has also written creative non-fiction and journalism in addition to working as an editor and teacher. All these skills, as well as her occasional
forays into stand-up comedy/motivational speaking in her other chosen field of
downtown revitalization, inform her work as a life-cycle celebrant®.
After many years of delivering eulogies, giving wedding toasts, commemorating public and private milestones, and designing events, Jennifer discovered that there was a name for what she was doing. Not only that, she also discovered there was a place where she could learn much more about it. Jennifer received her certification as a life-cycle celebrant® in Weddings and Funerals from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in 2012. She is an ordained nondenominational minister of the Universal Life Church and can legally perform marriages in states that accept this credential. |
